NNAS March Lecture: “A Malting Complex and an Agricultural Revolution in Mid Anglo-Saxon Sedgeford”
In its 25th anniversary year, founder-director of the SHARP project, Dr Neil Faulkner, reports on the excavation of the oldest malthouses in the British archaeological record, providing vivid evidence for the transformation of the English landscape during ‘the long 8th century’.
The Sue Margeson Memorial Lecture concludes the NNAS winter lecture season. It is an annual celebration of the early medieval subjects which were the passion of Sue Margeson, former Keeper of Archaeology at Norwich Castle Museum, who died at the tragically early age of 48 in 1997.
